New York City: On Feast of Entry of the Theotokos, Archbishop Gabriel celebrates Liturgy in Synodal Cathedral
In the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City, the clergy and faithful prayerfully celebrated the great feast of the Entry into the Temple of the Most Holy Theotokos.
On Sunday, November 28, Anna Shohov, church singer and choir director, peacefully reposed in the Lord in her home in Sea Cliff, NY. Anna Shohov (née Znosko) was born on July 8, 1938, in Brest-Litovsk, Poland, in a Russian Orthodox family.

Blountville, TN: Visitation of Wonderworking Kursk Root Icon for Patronal Feast of St. Tikhon Church
With the blessing of His Grace Nicholas, Bishop of Manhattan, the Church of St. Tikhon the Confessor in Blountville, TN received the blessing of caring for the holy wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God from November 15-18, 2021.
On Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th of November, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan paid an archpastoral visit to Our Lady "Joy of All Who Sorrow" Church in Cumming (Atlanta), GA. On November 6, the parish celebrated its patronal feast day of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow."
It has now been several months since we announced the halt of construction on the new church due to discovery of financial malfeasance by our contractor. We have spent these months working closely and coordinating with our attorneys, with various contracting and engineering firms, as well as with the church designer Andrew Gould, and we are finally ready to share an update on everything as well as the current outlook for continuation of the work.
