On Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd of February, Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America & New York performed an archpastoral visit to St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Howell, NJ, where he officiated the services. All of the worshippers were inspired by the presence of the Protectress of the Russian Diaspora ‒ the Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God ‒ at the divine services.
Old Testament Lectionary & Cue Cards for Great Lent Available on Diocese Website
The Eastern American Diocesan website is now offering for download the Old Testament Lectionary for Sixth Hour and Vespers on weekdays and feasts during Great Lent, as well as cue cards for clergy, specifically the Prayer of St. Ephraim the Syrian, and the verses on the Hours. Everything is available in English and Church Slavonic.
