On Friday, September 11, the Feast of the Beheading of the Forerunner of the Lord John and the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York City, His Eminence Nicholas, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, celebrated Divine Liturgy in St. Sergius Chapel at the Synodal Headquarters.

On Monday, September 7, the feast of Holy Apostle Titus, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Theodosius of Manhattan marked the 18th anniversary of his consecration to the episcopate with the celebration of Divine Liturgy in St. Sergius Chapel at the Synodal Headquarters in New York City.

On Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th of September, parishioners of St. Panteleimon Church in Hartford, CT, made a pilgrimage to Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, where they participated in the public celebration of the feast of Venerable Job of Pochaev.

On Friday, September 4, during the Afterfeast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, Bishop Jerome (Shaw) presided over the services for the departed at St. Vladimir Memorial Church in Jackson, NJ, marking the 50th anniversary of the repose of Archbishop Nikon (Rklitsky).

With the blessing of Their Eminences Nicholas, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, and Gabriel, Archbishop of Montreal & Canada, the 2026 St. Herman Youth Conference will be held at St. Nicholas Diocesan Cathedral in Montreal, QC, Canada.

From Saturday, August 29, to Tuesday, September 1, Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America & New York paid an archpastoral visit to St. Andrew Stratelates Cathedral in St. Petersburg, FL.

On Friday, August 28, the great feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, Eastern American Diocese vicar Bishop Michael of Boston paid an archpastoral visit to Holy Epiphany Church in Roslindale (Boston), MA where he celebrated Divine Liturgy.

On Thursday the 27th and Friday the 28th of August – the great feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos – Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America & New York officiated the divine services in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City.

From Sunday, July 26, to Sunday, August 9, clergy, counselors, and young campers attending St. Seraphim Camp concluded its 34th year in picturesque Blakeslee, PA. More than 240 young people were registered for arguably the largest Orthodox summer camp in the entire Russian Church Abroad.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America & New York, the Protectress of the Russian Diaspora – the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God – spent a week and a half visitng Holy Virgin Protection Church in Nyack, NY from August 9-22.

On Wednesday evening, August 26, the Forefeast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, upon completion of the evening services at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, monastery abbot Bishop Luke of Syracuse tonsured two new rassоphore monks: novices Reader Gabriel (Tobal) and Paul (Borisov).

It was with deep sorrow and heartfelt pain that we learned about the tragic passing of Monk Varsonofy of Svyatogorsk Lavra, who died at the hands of lawless men. During these difficult days, we join in prayer to share in the grief of Your Eminence and all the brethren of the holy monastery, offering you our sincere, brotherly condolences.

The Summer Youth Program at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY was established to expose Orthodox boys to the rich spiritual heritage and legacy of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, and to life at the monastery in particular.

On August 23 – the 12th Sunday after Pentecost and the Afterfeast of the Transfiguration of our Lord – Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America & New York celebrated Divine Liturgy in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City, concelebrated by Bishop Theodosius of Manhattan.

The 33rd Annual Russian Orthodox Musicians’ Conference will be held from Wednesday, September 30, through Sunday, October 4, at Holy Virgin Protection Diocesan Cathedral in Des Plaines, IL. The theme of this year’s conference is “Achieving the Ideal Orthodox Choral Sound.”

Recently, journalists from the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) website visited Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY to learn about the threat the brethren have been facing with Terra-Gen’s latest windmill project that aims to surround the monastery on all sides with wind turbines. UOJ has since produced a documentary titled “An Appeal to Heaven,” which is available to watch on YouTube.

During the strict fast of the Dormition, the Orthodox Church celebrates the radiant feast of the Lord’s Transfiguration. This year. this feast was especially joyful at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, as the brethren enjoyed the presence of 55 pilgrims from a church camp directed by Archpriest Paul Ivanov (rector of Holy Myrrhbearers Church in Brooklyn, NY).
